October 08 Wonderful to be backHello!
*Wonderful to be back*
Thank you for remembering my blog!
Well, it's been half a year. ........wow !!!! I really don't know why I didn't come here for so long.
Let's believe that it was because Hitomi's life has been going pretty good. At this moment, I am
-located myself in Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo, Japan.
-I'm here since April 2006
-Most of things are okay and life is good.
-in fact it's been great, thanks mate! -but, no need to say,
-cannot be better than life in IH 2004-2005 !!! -Now I am a Master course student, first year. -who study areas over international law, diplomacy, political history. -doing Internship at Think Tank, researching International Affairs area.
-going to start job hunting soon, if everything goes well get a job before next summer. (i wish so) -My life here is full of intellectual stimulation -not only of the university but also of all the society, nature and the world.
-as well as silly fun with friends. -Thank you. -I'm quite happy with those environment!
-But maybe there are few things i regret -if I'm allowed to say, one is that -I cannot play the piano everyday -because my room doesn't have it here -and don't often play the drums neither.
-but, oh well, am finding favorite music every day.
-and I singing everywhere :-)
-Also I still enjoy taking photos -writing what I think freely -and missing Australian Wine. -People say I lost weight in a good way -I'm happy if it's because I care about diet after coming back from Sydney.
-and not because of stress or irregular sleeping time. -Anyway I'm caring about my health and appearance -at least more than I did in Sydney... (This is Tokyo, you know) -Then I learn cooking everyday by myself at kitchen -(I believe it's improving) -making friends outside the school too
-meeting up with new people every day
-especially business person who knows what's practical -This is really a great advantage to live in Tokyo -to be able to meet NEW people. new ideas everyday. -Living in such a happening city, -I feel like becoming an "inbetween" -of Academic world and Practical world, -or the literate univerity and the business society. -I'm always trying to get a better sight of the world -with my two feet on ground, and with a good balance. -By the way, not speaking so much English everyday -My life now is 90% in Japanese
-but often remembering friends who are away -who are of Sydney and other places I flied to.
-Those are always in my mind -You are always in my mind. -yes you !
-Job hunting season is around the corner -I'm excited about it. -kind of designing my future. -this coming Winter/Spring is gonna be a tough season.
-but, I am happy. =-) i'll see you again in a week! April 12 absent? How do you keep in touch with the world?
or how to adjust yourself.. make yourself confortable in the world?
especially when you are getting confused?
I think everybody has his or her own way. favorite one.
For me, to do nothing.
To think nothing particular.
And just to be outside.
That's the most precious minutes for me...
Such a busy world! Did I sound like?
- - - hehehe... you don't know me yet!
I am the slowest in the world, ok?
Let alone in Tokyo, Japan.
These days trying to walk faster, though.
bye for now!
hitomi
PS/ photos.... took on 3rd April with Sakura tree, the cherry blossom flowers. April 06 Hi from Tokyohello readers !
Ah Ah, do you hear me? This is the first messege of mine, posting from Tokyo! As you may know or may not know (but now you know mate, no worris!), I moved to Tokyo just few days ago and now is a postgrad student, wow... just finished the university's opening celemony yesterday. It was fun, unexpectedly!
Being relativly busy, and, friends, excuse me plz if my email responces are delayed... (as always :-p )
Instead of writing a lot, here are several fotos I took since came here. Hope u enjoy them!
*hitomi* March 17 rainbow cloudsguys thanks for comments. some of you guys, i really really miss you.
1. how to keep in touch
i'm not good at maintaining unstable strings tied between people and me, even the strong one between dear friends. i'm not careful, i'm haven't get to be a good manager yet of myself. i'm often very bad at quick responce, and keeping in touch. I know there's no excuse. I just said that my friends are very unlucky that they have to be patient or very much optimist :-p
2. slow life?
i'm very slow. still can't adjust myself to the speedie updating IT world, i guess. Some people do catch up with friends or people around the world everyday, no matter how far they are. But I can't do that and I prefer not updating friends at all for long time, and meet at one time and talk a lot to catch up. The best is to make us meet up once a year twice... right, friends??? that would be great way to remember each other's face :-6 anyway,
3. slow blog?
this blog of mine is tiny tiny space on the web-web, and not perfect or sometimes not interesting at all, but i like it. I don't know who's reading this. Friends from Sydney? Any Japanese? Any people I haven't met in real life? thinking how to do with this blog from now on... any idea? :-)
4. hit on me this week
been raining and cold these two days
goin to Hong Kong from 26th to 29th for a short trip with friends. who said that hitomi will stay inside japan for good...?
5. photos
taken on my uni campus in japan. beautiful campus of mountainside. March 03 Spring has comelong time since my birthday entry...
but still alive here i am, thank you!
thanks you didn't abandon me! hehehe...
gooD news here.
I GRADUATE MY UNI!!!
I'm the final year student of my current uni in Japan. I have been a bit worried about graduation, because of the one year exahcnge program I took part in last year. I couldn't acquire as much credit points as other students usually do in Kobe. When they transfer those points from Sydney to Kobe, because of several difference between universities' systems, what they worth in Sydney became almost half here... as here in my original uni we study more "hours" in classes than in Sydney. But you know, how much we actually work is the same (or more, in case you are internatilnal student) anyway. that's the way it is.
today I went to the uni faculty office and got my mark. i was relieved very much to see that... ok, now I graduate.
It's already great for me that I'm able to graduate this year, as I was out of the original uni for one whole year. It looked very difficult for me for the first time to set everything in good way and do graduate in four years, but anyhow it went well and I did it.
I'm happily going to graduate
on March 24th :-)
smile * hitomi
PS/ today - 3rd March is the day we annualy celebrate girls' spring celemony"Hi Na Ma Tsu Ri" in Japan. The most impressive part of this celemony is Japanese traditional dolls, which we place and decolate in our houses usually about one month in advance, when we have female children in houses, not male. This is the celemony for Spring, and Young Girls.. We eat "Hi Na A Ra Re" the japanese rice cracker, enjoy veiwing "Mo Mo"the peach flower, and pray for female children's blessed future including happy marridge. Two dolls on the top is something like Prince and Princess in Heian Era... about 1000year ago? I actually don't know so well, I should learn more about my mother land's culture. :-)

December 12 Nihongo - Japanesetoday's blog is in Japanese.
Excuse me, but i won't translate it
as I can't do it.
Sorry if you don't read Japanese,
(thanx for reading though, guys!!)
but in this world, that's the way it is.
sometimes you have to be
"lost" in translation.
Thanki you.

went there with Avis and Grace last Friday. November 30 Don't let the world go.Do you see the world?
Do you smell the world?
Do you listen to the world?
Do you taste the world?
Do you touch the world?
When you are able to do all of above five, your body is so much blessed ! You have yourself to sense the world. Like me. I sense the world.
So let's use your sense, and don't let the world go.
For example... Imagine you were born into the world of no sound. Terrible? Fun? Interesting? Wanna die? Love to accept it? Me? I don't know.
Hard to imagine the situation that I know how to write my name but don't know how my name sounds like. "HITOMI"
How do you think your mom will explain "music" to you, when you cannot listen to it?
Or do you think you can "feel" the music without listening to it?
Anyway the important truth is: Even when the person is lack of some of those senses, still he or she can "speak" to the world. And they do.
thanx for reading, love from me November 25 木曽路 Kisoji - 妻籠 TsumagoFor one-day drive, we went to Tsumago the other day,
where you can see the town along the Nakasendo street,
which goes from Kyoto to Edo - all road long 570km.
It is in Nagano prefecture.
About 200-250km from Osaka.
How the street really was in Edo era you can see there.
This is one of great heritages from Edo period, they say,
as the town has been preserved pretty well.
Anyway...
Enjoy the photos first,
give comments if you wanna know more,
now let me sleep! HAHA
Good nite :) November 14 [YES!] photos from kyoto 2* Hello folks, how r u? *

having lots of things to be written,
but not enough time to clystalize them into sentsnses.. :p
lately being very happy to hear from several friends
who is physically away from me now...
like in Sydney, Dubai, Humburg, Seoul, Boston, Cairo, Utrecht....
Very happy to recieve warm greetings from them... really.
yes, missing them so much and it is sad to be apart,
but it's seriouly nice nice soo NICE
to keep in touch with them.
One of them said...
"No matter how many days paases,
we have to be good friend and we will be."
I believe so too.

Photos from Kyoto, again. Taken on the same day.
Their quarity is not so good,
even before MSN space make it worse.
Excuse me for that, but hope u enjoy them!
November 09 photos from Kyotosome photos from Kyoto in autumn.
we enjoyed so much walking around
this ancient & spritual capital city.
tomorrow is gonna be the special day for my friend.
photos/ Kyoto - Around Higashiyama. November 08 voice from sydney Met Rachel yesterday
She is a good friend of mine whom i met in Sydney.
We went to Gold Coast and Kakadu by 4WD together,
and shared fabulous time and memories outside IH as well....
Now she is traveling from China to Japan.
* * *
We met up in Kyoto.
So nice to see her again.
She looked very fine and cheerful, like who I know she is.
Chatting for a while, she gave me two souveniours.
One was the tea flowers from Gui Lin (桂林), - China.
And the other was from IH - Sydney.
It was "voices" from my (our common) friends in Sydney.
She recorded their messages and brought all the way
to let me listen to it. (and make me happy :-) )
What friends said in recording was very touching.
reminded me of Sydney, IH, every faces of friends...
sharply and with reality.
Some of the people in the recording list
were in fact totally out of my expectation,
some people I have not had any contact since I left.
they surprised me and delighted me very much...
Those friends' voices seem to me
like the little warp zone, or the little time machine,
which all of sudden made me soooo sentimental.
This is beyond description.
I cannot help shouting
Thank you very much indeed !!!
( even in my blog :-p )
Anyway above all,
very sweet and encouraging to know that
my friends are alive on the same globe,
as cheerful as before,
yes, and thinking of me!!
I am still in their mind over this physical distance.
What can be sweeter than this?
i miss you all.
all is all... everyone.
i will update several photos from Kyoto later... November 05 my life through mobile hi hi guys

2. the sea of Kobe i saw from JR train. Between Suma and Maiko.
3. myself yesterday.
4. my favorite bag using now... the colour of Autumn. hehehe.. bye for now :-) November 02 Evil and FlowersGood and Bad can exist everywhere at the same time.
In your life too.
In my life too.
My last blog entry said that
I am enjoying so much being a student in japan.
But there are many things to be worried around me also.
I am happy as much as you.
And sad as much as you.
Always...
People say life is short.
So you should live every moment at most.
It sound very positive and I like it, Cathy :-)
But is life short?
Compared with what?
Do you really think life is short?
I don't know why but now I think life is long.
doesn't matter if you die tomorrow or
survive another 100 years from now on.
Now your future is lying in front of you,
and that is what life is, I think.
Even when you've got 74 years old like my grandma,
your future is still in front of you.
Life is very long and huge and everything.
So... just tresure every moment.
October 30 Update you!3 months since the flight back home from Sydney
3 weeks since Uni has started again.
no worries guys!!
iamfine(^_^)
but sorry not renewing the page,
(although i'm always concerning about it)
here is a little bit about my life at this moment.
1. LIFE
I go to University 4 days a week. which I am enjoying very much.
Quite inspiring. to be on campus.
I'm re-discovering how nice to be a student...
Lectures.. Friends.. Studies.. Projects... Books..
and beautiful campus of kobe,
which is going to be surrounded by Autumn leaves.
Doing the tutor of the exchange student from Sydney,
yes he and I were exchanged..
(he's doing much much better than me though!)
it's also good to keep chances to speak English :-)
Meeting Japanese friends... on campus and outside campus.
back in contact with people I have been familiar since long..
Also I visit teachers or boss to greet...
And music!!
Yesterday went to my friends's live performance
which was quite nice!
(which made me feeling like starting the band again!!)
Also nowadays
having interest in Japan in Asia, then Australia in Asia...
playing the piano as i like when I have any time..
Reserching places to go when I guide around Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe
for friends from overseas.
viewing some websites of companies I am interested in...
Saving money for travels after graduation,
and also for new life in Tokyo which is going to begin from spring
(*yes i'm moving to Tokyo to study*)
Have to look for a place to live there.
Ok
quite enough for now, right?
2. UNIVERSITY
The classes I take...
Disputes and International Law,
EU-Japan Relationship, South-north probrems,
Japanese diplomatic history,
Russian & east-european economics,
And the most stimulating is one lecture of Faculty of Business given by
workers in a Japanese corpolation (i don say its name here)... etc etc
I take more classes here than I did sydney.
(difference of the system... the amount you study is around the same)
Wow. So many books I have to read... and I wanna read....
Right now I'm loving what i learn in classes...
and also on campus I can meet friends to talk everyday. So happening my current life is...
comparing to the first one month back in Japan,
when I was studying for an exam....
whole day at home, 24hours!! (seriously!!)
3.MOBILE
I've got new mobile last week!
which kept me very happy whole one week :-)
This photo below is taken by it..
4.LIFE AGAIN
Yes I'm thinking about my future life now much seriously,
planning what to do, thinking of what to bring in my life...
I think I have relativly good time to do it now:
these months expecting graduation.
5. ROCKY
I'm walking with him in the evenings when i'm at home...
My dog is so cute, thank you!!! :-8
then bye for now! i'll be back soon!
* hitomi *

photo: a bike park at my university October 03 axis 23.4°Hay there!
As you may not know at all,
I've been curious about one thing
for these several weeks.
Since the question hit my mind by itself,
there's no "Answer Sheet" stuff,
and I still don't know what the truth is.
Now I'm clever enough to understand that
I will never get to the truth by myself.
Oh help me please, smart guys,
if you are kind enough.
I'm being eager to know the answer... ( hehehe :-p )
The question is this:
Is there any date on earth when the Sun rises at the very same time in Osaka and Sydney?
i mean, the same in natural time...
not in "nation" time
Basically I think the answer is Yes.... (i feel it!!)
but it's just an instinct...
And don't know how to prove it's right.
(maybe I need a globe)
Anyway above all, I want to know
WHEN the date is !
What do you think?
Plz help me sleep in peace... (- - o) ... z Z Z
